Collection: Specialty Grade Coffee - All Coffee Products
Specialty grade coffee is high-quality coffee graded 80 points or higher on a 100-point scale by certified Q-graders, adhering to strict standards from farm to cup. It is characterized by traceable, single-origin sourcing, meticulous cultivation, and distinct flavor profiles, typically offering a superior, more sustainable experience compared to commercial coffee.
Our specialty grade coffee beans are ethically sourced from small farms from all over the world that our roasters have developed long-standing relationships with. We ensure that we only do business with cultivars that utilize sustainable practices. Each region offers its own unique flavor profile, aroma, and body due to the specific growing conditions (elevation, soil type, and water sources) giving coffee lovers a wide range of options to explore. All of our beans are hand picked and dried utilizing natural, chemical free methods. Understanding the process helps people appreciate the diversity of coffee and discover the taste that best suits their preferences.
There are two main varieties of coffee bean species: Arabica and Robusto. All of our specialty grade coffees are primarily Arabica beans. They are generally known for their smooth, mild flavor and complex aroma. Since Robusta beans are stronger, more bitter, and contain higher caffeine levels, we include them in some of our blends that offer boosted caffeine lovels. These two coffee varieties are cultivated in different regions, and factors such as altitude, soil quality, and climate influence their final taste.
Our specialty grade coffee selections offer the opportunity for coffee enthusiasts to experience coffee from different regions around the world. Our roasters source beans from countries such as: Papua New Guinea, India, Sumatra, Honduras, Ethiopia, Bali, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Uganda, Tanzania, and Guatemala. The growing conditions in these locations help shape the flavor and quality of the coffee varieties produced there.
Overall, specialty grade coffee allows you to better understand the richness and complexity of our favorite beverage. Whether you prefer a smooth and delicate cup or a bold and intense brew, Colorado Coffee Club has a coffee that will become your favorite.
